Vista and the Vista Style Guide

I went to a vista dev training thing a few weeks ago, one of the key bits of vista is to reduce the need for lots of dialogs.
When i post a new message to this news group, i have to click 4!!!
One to cancel passport One to OK the cancel (just incase I didn't mean to :) ) One to let me know that newsgroups are public One to say it may take time
And,, if i spell check, add one more
/end of rant :)

What are you using to post it though?

I can just change my settings, but the point that they were trying to make on the training was, you mum would not change the settings, so your mum would always have lots of buttons to press and my mum wouldn't understand most of it ;)

I do know what you mean - however Windows Mail is a seperate dirivative in the Windows Vista group - so they'll probably get round to the UX tweaks later on :o)
We hope anyway...
